First launched in October 2002, this website was the idea of two local residents, Graham and Gordon. Then and now, we aim to provide a one-stop-shop for local people and people further afield who have in interest in matters related to the historic Parish of Old Catton.

This website is an Old Catton community based project run by local people for the benefit of local people. This is a totally independent project that has no affiliation to local churches, businesses, the Parish Council or any other political body. Although we value our independence from these bodies, we also recognise and appreciate the importance of their ideas, input and general support.

As this website has grown and new features added, our on-going running costs have increased. To help with these costs, we have gratefully received financial contributions from the Parish Council and the Old Catton Society - both of whom recognise the benefits a community website can offer. In addition to this we are seeking to recover some of our costs through the selling of classified advertisements on this website.

We are quite sure that the format and content of this website will continue to change and develop over time, but the project will only succeed if we have the support and input from local people.
