The 44th Norwich (1st Old
Catton) Scout Group has 2 Beaver
Colonies, 2 Cub Packs and 1
Scout Troop, with membership
numbers of 40 Beavers, 34 Cubs
and 27 Scouts supported by 15
adult Leaders and 4 Young
Leaders. We also have close
links with the local Explorer
Scout Unit which meets
fortnightly at our HQ and the
alternate weeks in Spixworth.
We are delighted at the
continuing number of boys and
girls from Old Catton expressing
an interest in joining our
Group. The wide range of
programme activities, camps and
sleepovers that we offer to all
our members has resulted in a
year on year increase in numbers
over the last 2 years.
Our success in recruiting more
and more young people means that
we are now looking for more
adults to join our enthusiastic
team of volunteer adults. If you
have a couple of hours a week, a
fortnight or even a month that
you can spare, we would like to
hear from you. Were you a Cub,
Scout , Venture Scout or Leader
in the past? If so we are sure
you have good memories of
