This article describes the building and owner of one of Old Catton's most unique and outstanding buildings. This excellent account was researched and published by Cherida Campion whose parents owned the house. Sadly, Cherida passed away some years ago, but we are grateful for this account of such a little known house.

"I would like to thank Norwich Record Office for all their help. I am particularly grateful, as without this help, I could not have started on such a search, and it has given me so much interest and enjoyment. I would like to thank John Scott for his drawing of Catton Place as it was when Robert Rogers built his house, which is the undoubted fruit of my research; also for his interest, suggestions and comments, which have been an integral part of that research. And I would like to thank all the people who have helped me, especially Margaret Forester."

Cherida Campion

Our sincere thanks go to the Old Catton Society for offering this unique piece of research to us.
